THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND A REQUEST FOR INDUSTRY QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS REQUIREMENT. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT QUOTES. A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR QUOTERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. Please only respond to this sources sought notice if you are interested in submitting a quote and capable of performing the work required in the attached Statement of Work to complete the project. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the need for a firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for the supply and installation of a UHF trunked, land mobile radio (LMR) system, maintenance and accessory pricing for optional items at the Metropolitan Correctional Center located in Chicago, Illinois. Potential contractors are asked to review the attached Statement of Work and provide questions or comments regarding the requirement to Jeff Kercheval, jkercheval@bop.gov. The final system acceptance and all related documentation are expected to be completed no later than 280 calendar days after receipt of award. Contractors are asked to provide a response to the following questions: What is the commercial lifecycle for the equipment included in this contract? 2. Is a five year maintenance agreement standard? 3. What is the standard warranty for this type of equipment and installation? 4. Is 180 calendar days sufficient for final acceptance after award? 5. Are there any questions or concerns regarding the Statement of Work as written? The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 334220. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. The synopsis of proposed contract action will include further instruction for responding to this opportunity. Interested bidders are advised to continuously monitor www.betaSAM.gov for all future updates.
