This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Mobile MRI Services for inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Elkton, OH located at 8760 Scroggs Road, Libson, OH 44432. The contractor shall provide Mobile Ultrasounds and Stress Tests services to the Health Services Department at the FCI. The services will be performed in a designated area behind the gate determined by the Health Services Department. The NAICS Code is 621512. The mobile Ultrasounds/Echo services will be performed approximately once per month (approximately 12 times per year and on an “as needed” basis. The Cardiac Stress Testing services will be performed approximately five (5) times per year, on an “as needed” basis. Other testing services include adenosine testing (approximately 15 times per year), cardiolite testing (approximately 17 times per year), and treadmill testing (approximately 4 times per year). One session is equal to one work day in duration (approximately 8 hours). It is estimated to have approximately 12 patient exams per session. All services/testing are to be performed between the hours of 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday thru Friday. The Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) will be responsible for schedule times. (Exact times are negotiable). The contractor will normally be scheduled a month in advance. The MRI services schedule will be flexible to meet the need of the institution based on the work volume and the security needs. Please see the Statement of Work for more details. The Government contemplates awarding a requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the forthcoming solicitation. The contract period shall consist of a base year and four option years. A Government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement.
