The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, McKean intends to make a single award to provide Optometrist services at the facility located in Lewis Run, PA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621320 (Size Standard: $8 million). This solicitation is being issued as restricted to small businesses. The Government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from this solicitation. The Contract shall consist of a base year and four (4) 12 months option years. All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the industry and in compliance with all Federal and State policies and regulations. The contractor will provide services in accordance with the Statement of Work (see attached). The work schedule will normally consist of two visits per month, with eight, one-hour sessions per visit for a total of 16 sessions per month. The sessions will occur Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., excluding Federal Holidays. Each daily schedule will include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. One (1) session is defined as one (1) hour in length. These hours may be adjusted to meet the variable needs of FCI McKean and the unpredictable nature of the correctional environment. Each contractor shall normally not exceed 16 hours per month. Each contractor should normally evaluate an estimated 20 to 35 patients per visit depending on the length of the visit etc. Specific dates and times of sessions will be determined mutually between the contractor and the Government. This solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions.
