The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. The service will encompass the provision of prosthetic and orthotics services located at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Lexington, Kentucky. These services will be performed in the Health Services Department for the prisoners held in the custody of the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. The requirement for these appliances will consist of an estimated 24 clinic/sessions per year (twice a month). Each clinic/session is defined as three (3) hour in length. It is anticipated the clinics/sessions will be required Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. excluding Federal holidays. The government estimates the following appliances will be required per performance year. The government's estimated appliances are listed it the SOW. A mtually agreed upon schedule between the contractor and the Bureau of Prisons will be determined following award of a BPA. The performance period will be for a base year, being 12 months from the estimated date of award and four 12 month option periods. DATA COLLECTED FROM THIS SURVEY IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
