This is a Notice of Intent to negotiate on a Sole Source Basis. The Federal Bureau of Prisons Medical Center (FMC), Butner, North Carolina intends to negotiate on a Sole Source Basis with Stericycle Inc. for biohazardous medical waste disposal and pathological / trace chemotherapy disposal. A written notice will not be issued. The notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, as no solicitation document are available. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give a written or fax notification to the Contracting Officer in 5 calendar days from the date of this published synopsis. This contract will be from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, LSCI Butner. B. McKeown at bmckeown@bop.gov or faxed to (919) 575-5036. Response received will be evaluated. However a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, FMC Butner will proceed with the sole source negotiated with Stericycle Inc.
