Laboratory test and analytical services shall consist of: 1. Advising HUD, as needed, on testing methodologies and methods and materials that are economically prudent and will provide the most accurate results. HUD's Office of Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) would like the option to discuss sampling materials with the lab for additional guidance to ensure compatibility with the laboratories test equipment, insider knowledge of unsuitable testing materials, or a more accurate and less expensive approach to conduct field sampling. 2. Providing lead sample analysis comprised of lead dust wipe samples, paint chip samples, soil samples, and water samples that are sent by HUD to the Contractor’s lab on a regular basis as samples are collected by HUD inspectors. The Contractor shall utilize applicable HUD, EPA, NIOSH, and ASTM methodologies. 3. Provide radon sample analysis based on applicable EPA, ANSI, AARST and NRPP or NRSB approved methods. The Contractor shall provide HUD with the applicable radon sampling materials for field measurements. 4. Provide mold sample analysis based on industry “best practice” evaluating air samples, tape-lift sampling, swab samples, and carpet-sampling cartridges that are sent by HUD to the Contractor’s lab on a regular basis as samples are collected by HUD inspectors.
