REQUIREMENT: This notice is issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center Norfolk, VA to identify sources capable of providing the following: Solicitation Number: UNPLANNED DRYDOCK -REPAIRS-USCGC-CHENA (WLR 75409) DRYDOCK Availability The U.S. Coast Guard is looking for sources which would be interested in performing drydock repairs for Coast Guard Cutter CHENA (WLR 75409) The tentative performance period of this upcoming drydock is 30 August 2021 to 2 September 2021. It is anticipated requests for quotes will be issued approximately 9 August 2021 and the contract would be awarded around 27 August 2021. CGC CHENA is a 75’ River Tender home ported in Hickman, KY. There are approximately four (4) work items in the requirement and the sampling of work items (tentative list) to be performed is listed as follows: Drydock Tender Temporary Services, Provide – Tender Towing Services Port Propellers - Renew To fix discrepancy related to a significant vibration when operating at high RPMs. A subsequent dive inspection identified damage of the port propeller, specifically a large bend, 3” x 8” of one of the blades.
