The RFI is for planning and informational purposes and shall not be construed as a Request for Quote (RFQ). In addition, information submitted as a result of this RFI is not reimbursable cost or commits the Government to a contract or an acquisition strategy. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking information for construction repairs located on the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), specifically the Islands of Saipan and Tinian. FEMA is looking for Construction Contractors to repair residential properties resulting from the October 2018 Typhoon Yuto. Properties range in size from 400 to 1,200 square feet and/or 1 to 3- bedroom homes. The number of properties is estimated between 160 to 178, however, this estimate is not firm. This requirement will be identified under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 226118, Remodeling and Renovating General Contractors, Single-Family Housing. The small business size standard is $36.5M. FEMA has a preference for Local construction contractors; however, for this RFI, we are seeking information under an unrestricted basis in order to determine potential acquisition strategies. All interested parties must be registered in www.SAM.gov to do business with the Federal Government. The purpose of this RFI is to determine if there are interested parties who are experienced, qualified and knowledgeable to overcome any challenges such as skilled labor, materials, magnitude of home repairs, and any other challenges not specified for doing residential construction repairs in Saipan and Tinian. Provide a maximum of three (3) residential construction projects (new construction or repairs) performed in the past six (6) years of this RFI to include: a. Dollar value of each project b.
