The purpose of this synopsis is to notify industry that a sole source contract modification action is intended to be awarded to FEEA Childcare Services, Inc. pursuant to the requirements of 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.5 and consistent with the content requirements of FAR 6.303-2. This sole source modification award shall be made on or after April 28th, 2023. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Human Resources Management (HRM), in support of the Workforce Care Directorate (WCD), proposes to modify its contract with FFEA Childcare Services, Inc. to increase the contract value under Option Period Four (4) due to an unprecedented increase of applications under CBP’s Childcare Subsidy Program. CBP intends to procure additional services that will provide childcare subsidy benefits for additional lower-income qualified CBP employees over the remaining period of performance of this contract from 05/01/2023 – 09/27/2023. Via this notice, it has been determined, and is in the Government’s sole discretion not to compete this contract action. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, however all responsible sources that believe they can meet all of the requirements may submit a capabilities statement, which shall be considered. Interested parties shall be required to provide a capabilities statement which would demonstrate how they can potentially meet the requirements described above. This requirement is not for the acquisition of commodities/products. In accordance with FAR 6.305(a), a Justification as required by FAR 6.303-1, shall be made publically available within 14-days post contract award.
