Microsoft has been directly supporting the Agenc... The Agency has a need to acquire Microsoft Premier Support Services. The OIG IT network infrastructure heavily utilizes Microsoft developed technology. Microsoft has been directly supporting the Agency with Microsoft Consulting Services and Microsoft Premier Support agreements since 2019. The Agency previously contracted with Microsoft by using the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) strategically sourced and mandatory use Department-Wide Acquisition Contract (DWAC) for Microsoft Services. DHS awarded this DWAC in 2009 and extended its performance until HS to order Microsoft services directly from Microsoft in the form of task orders placed against a single award indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) vehicle. The OIG was able to access this IDIQ contract to meet its mission requirements for Microsoft services. The IDIQ contract expired in February 2021 and can no longer be accessed. A contract renewal by DHS for Component usage was not pursued. Therefore, the OIG intends to enter into a Inter-Agency Agreement with the Department of Justice UNICOR to receive these services for one year.
