This Request for Information (RFI) is part of a market research effort by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) to determine the availability and technical readiness of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA), to include Machinery Control Systems (MCS) or Units (MCU) and their associated components, Remote Terminal Units (RTU), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and terminal sensors, e.g. actuators, transducers, etc. In addition, information is requested regarding storage and analysis of data obtained from the SCADA or MCS as well as over-the-horizon ship-to-shore transmission of data and control of SCADA or MCS units. Due to logistical and space constraints, submissions should only describe technologies that could be implemented into the current CG fleet with a minimal impact to the vessel’s configuration. All submissions of technology for this RFI should be a Technical Readiness Level (TRL) 7 or higher as defined in Figure 1 of the US Government Accountability Office’s Technology Readiness Assessment Guide.
