It is the intent of CBP to procure commercially available packaged meals to be delivered to geographically separated Tucson Sector Border Patrol locations. 2.1. This requirement for food items is a component of the operational program for feeding Tucson Sector detainees. It is expected and intended that other sources of food items will be utilized during the term of the contract. This contract is not intended to serve as the only source of food items for detainees. 2.2. This requirement is not intended to be a complete food menu for detainees. Food items delivered under the resultant contract may be used as part of a specialized food menu (e.g., infants, children, pregnant women, adults) but are not intended to be the complete operational program for food items for OBP detainees. 2.3. Meals for detainees may be provided from sparse or minimal facilities, so the food items delivered per this requirement are not intended to require significant food handling or preparation. All food items delivered under the resulting contract will contain nutritional labels as set forth by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
