Notice of Intent to Sole Source - Jeol ECA 500 II NMR Preventative Maintenance Services This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ORDER under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.3, Other Than Full and Open Competition Procedures. U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to solicit and negotiate directly with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), JEOL USA, Inc., 11 Dearborn Rd., Peabody, MA 01960. JEOL does not authorize third party repair services to their equipment and is the only authorized source for the required preventative maintenance services and no other services will meet the Government's needs. No formal solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, prospective contractors who believe they can successfully quote must provide specific, detailed technical documentation to support such claims of abilities. The Government will review any submittals received in response to this notice and retain this information for future requirements. All documentation must be submitted via email, NO phone calls will be accepted. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in the preparation of responses to this announcement. This is the only notice that will be issued for these items. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract is solely within the discretion of the Government.
