SOLE SOURCE PORTABLE POWER STATIONS-DUE TO URGENCY-HURRICANE IAN The purpose of this synopsis is to notify industry that a sole source contract action has been awarded to Goal Zero under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(a)(2), Urgent and compelling circumstances exist. US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is currently responding to an emergency situation in the state of Florida, USA as a result of Hurricane Ian. This situation has exceeded the agency’s ability to respond using organic resources. As a result, CBP has identified Yeti 1500X Power Stations, as a requirement to aid in the agency’s response to the developing emergency operational environment. This product is required to facilitate CBP operations in Florida in order to successfully meet critical mission needs. Failure to rapidly procure portable power stations will have a severe impact on CBP operations in the state of Florida, USA.
