This is a draft acquisition requirement released to industry to facilitate early engagement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201. The attached requirements documents relate to the proposed acquisition of Multi-Energy Portal (MEP) Inspection System for the U.S. Customs & Border Protection's (CBP) Non-Intrusive Inspection Program. The Government is seeking the input from vendors on the proposed contract's scope and requirements as well as clarity of the current specifications. Attached to this announcement is the Draft Statement of Work and the Functional Requirements Document. CBP invites any written feedback, particularly on areas requiring further clarification or suggestions regarding the requirement or acquisition strategy. CBP intends to use this information to refine or modify the requirement and/or strategy to best meet its needs in the current market environment. There is no required format for submitting questions or comments. CBP requests vendor responses by 4:00pm ET on Thursday, December 19, 2019.
