This initiative, Portable Less Lethal Vehicle Immobilization Devices, is a new requirement to allow U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) the ability to safely interdict vehicles attempting to flee law enforcement inspection. CBP intends to identify solutions that are safe, effective, and compatible to cover the need. Based on the responses and Offeror’s system performance, CBP may solicit a 5-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract at a later date.
