This is not an invitation to bid. The Sectéra vIPers’ phone units are part of the National Security Agency’s (NSA) COMSEC modernization initiative. Currently, there are no other NSA- approved phones that meet the modernization standard. As per DHS Policy 4300B.200 and NSA policy CNSSI 4006, all COMSEC devices must be approved by NSA to meet COMSEC Type 1 encryption requirements. and Currently the Sectéra vIPer phone can meet the requirement for voice equipment replacement. GDMS is the sole developer, manufacturer and supplier of the Type 1 US Government NSA approved Sectéra vIPer.
