The USCG requires Commvault software licenses and maintenance to support the existing infrastructure and to maintain compliance for daily backup data thresholds. This requirement includes the annual renewal of maintenance support for the Commvault software and the purchase of additional software licenses. The maintenance support enables the USCG to receive technical support, security patch updates, and software release updates. The purchase of additional licenses increases the backup capacity that is currently available to the USCG. This brand name exception to fair opportunity for brand name CommVault Software Licenses and Maintenance Support Services is pursuant to FAR 16.505(a)(4)(i), restricting items peculiar to one manufacturer. See the attached Brand Name Justification. This notice fulfills the posting requirements of FAR 16.505(b)(2)(ii)(D).
