The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), through the Requirements and Capabilities Analysis (RCA) Division and Chemistry & Explosives Branch (CEB), has a requirement to procure a preventative maintenance service agreement for the seven (7) laboratory balances and micro-balances, including both Mettler Toledo and Symmetry models used in the Chemistry Lab. This service is essential to ensure the continued accuracy, reliability, and calibration compliance of sensitive laboratory equipment used in mission- critical operations. The requirement includes on-site service covering full preventive maintenance, calibration and accuracy verification, ISO 9001 calibration certification, minimum weight checks, and calibration to manufacturer-specific annex standards. Mettler-Toledo, LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and sole authorized provider for maintenance and calibration services for their branded balances. These services require the use of proprietary tools, software, procedures, and documentation that are only accessible to Mettler-Toledo personnel.
