This extension limits the number of sources eligible for fair consideration under FAR 16.505(b)(2). The modification is necessary to prevent any disruption in the required EVADE Support Services and to allow the selected contractor for the follow-on procurement to obtain the appropriate Facility Clearance. Terminating the current task order before the follow-on awardee is granted the necessary clearance would create operational gaps, hinder progress, and lead to inefficiencies in fulfilling mission requirements.
