The North and South doors of Building 1106 Main Hangar are each equipped with two 8-panel bottom-rolling systems, with approximate dimensions of 200' x 35'. These doors are essential for aircraft maintenance but have become unreliable, frequently requiring repairs. This project will address these issues by performing critical maintenance on the hangar doors and replacing the North Hangar Tail Door. The current tail door is a partially operational 12' x 24' rolling steel door that only accommodates C27 aircraft, making it inadequate for the incoming C130s. The upgrade will also include the addition of four remote controls inside the hangar, complementing the existing exterior controls. This maintenance and replacement will significantly enhance the efficiency of the maintenance crew, enabling them to perform tasks inside the hangar rather than outside in the elements.
