The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Procurement Operations (OPO), Federal Protective Service (FPS), Acquisition Division (AD), proposes to extend the ordering period under the current contract, contract number HSHQW9-13-D-00002, with Paragon Systems, Inc. for Protective Security Officer (PSO) services in the State of Arizona on a basis other than full and open competition. FPS intends to procure recurring PSO services and potential temporary additional PSO services (TAS) on a sole source basis at various federal facilities located in Arizona for up to 2 months while the awarded competitive follow-on contract is appropriately transitioned. This action will result in a modification to extend the option period under the incumbent contract HSHQW9-13-D-00002 for an additional two (2) months to allow placement of a task order thereunder to continue critical PSO services. The incumbent contract is set to expire 03/31/2019. The competitive follow-on contract was awarded on 02/01/2019 and will require a transition period of up to 120 days. The period of performance start date for the follow-on contract is 06/01/2019.
