The Federal Protective Service intends to extend services for up to six (6) months through March 31, 2020 under Task Order HSHQEC-17-J-00109 with KT Consulting Inc. for administrative and program management support services at the FPS National Capitol Region offices, branches, and district staff in accordance with FAR 16.505 (b)(2)(i)(C) "The order must be issued on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency because it is a logical follow-on to an order already issued under the contract, provided that all awardees were given a fair opportunity to be considered for the original order." KT Consulting, Inc already has the qualified personnel in place performing the services needed, the issuance of a task order to another company would result in substantial delay of performance, given the requirement for support personnel to be suitability cleared to begin performing. This notice of intent is not a request for quotes. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
