The Federal Protective Service Acquisitions Division intends to issue a sole source extension of up to four months to the current ordering period of an existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract, 70RFP218DEC000009, with Paragon Systems (13900 Lincoln Park Drive, Herndon, VA 20171}. This proposed extension will provide for continued protective security officer services in the Washington DC area to allow time to award and transition the follow-on effort for these services. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Paragon Systems under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304 (a)(l) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
