The Trace Laboratory (inclusive of Trace Detection and Trace Standards Production) at the TSL is recognized worldwide for their expertise in developing, validating and supporting the Test & Evaluation (T&E) of trace detection systems and evaluating materials of interest. They are also responsible for preparing the required, quality-controlled solutions for use in testing scenarios. In order to effectively perform these functions, the Trace Laboratory requires an automated, laboratory container labeling system that is capable of accurate and high-resolution alphanumeric printing directly onto various types of laboratory tubes, vials and other laboratory containers. Further, this printer technology will provide clear and durable labeling that remains intact in harsh laboratory conditions (e.g., in the presence of solvents). This system will enable the TSL to rapidly print onto curved surfaces (e.g., auto sampler vials and centrifuge tubes) allowing for efficient laboratory quality control services for internal and external customers.
