USSS has awarded a Sole Source Delivery Order under the DHS Strategic Source Vehicle, Tactical Communications Equipment and Services (TACCOM) II Multi-Agency Contract under Technical Category 1 for equipment with ancillary services, to Motorola Solutions without considering other awardees pursuant to FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(B); Only one awardee is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services ordered are unique or highly specialized. This procurement action is a continuation of the USSS-wide replacement of legacy radios, expansion of AOD/GSA HTW program in conjunction with the Enterprise Radio program for protective and daily mission support. Based on extensive research and prior requirements justifications, Motorola Solutions is the only brand name equipment that provides the required security and functionality requirements of the USSS/OCIO Radios with seamless continuation of integration for existing USSS Radio systems.
