The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration (FIMA) previously acquired replacement cost data from CoreLogic, which was matched exclusively to the NFIP’s existing book of business for rate-setting and analytical purposes. FEMA would like to expand the use of the previously acquired data to match to existing and potential policyholders for insurance policy renewals and new business sales. The replacement cost data will be matched to NFIP policyholders and potential policyholders on FEMA systems using addresses or geospatial locations. FEMA will consider new sources of replacement cost data for rating purposes.
