The USCG requires NetApp hardware and warranty in order to meet and sustain security requirements, remediate recently identified security vulnerabilities, and End of Support (EOS) being reached on current NetApp hardware. The NetApp procurement of four new disk drive shelves to replace existing shelves that reached EOS in March 2022 will allow the USCG to continue support business systems and applications that are located on the Kearneysville, Alexandria, Alameda and Headquarters data floors. The specific equipment and related functionality is needed to allow the equipment to be easily integrated with the existing NetApp storage array infrastructure already in use thus eliminating new security vulnerabilities.
