The existing air compressor and dryer in the metal shop are outdated and no longer capable of meeting the high demand for pneumatic equipment used by aviation personnel. The manufacturer has discontinued this model, resulting in scarce replacement parts and escalating maintenance costs. Additionally, the current unit operates inefficiently due to excessive heat production and moisture build up. We propose upgrading to a rotary screw air compressor system, which offers the following advantages: Enhanced efficiency, cost savings, environmental impact, operational stability, and noise reduction. By implementing this upgrade, we will ensure that our air compression system meets the demands of our aviation operations, reduces operational costs, and supports a more sustainable and comfortable workplace. This will be a one for one replacement. Installation will be completed by unit personnel.
