Notice of Intent: The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole-source procurement (under FAR authority 6.302) to Strategic Robotic Systems, San Diego CA. Background and Justification: Strategic Robotic Systems meets all specifications and requirements needed and is available to schedule. Regional Dive Lockers are required to maintain 02 Strategic Robotics Systems FUSION Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs). This purchase will procure a full set of batteries and charging system for the second UUV. This equipment has been briefed and identified as mission critical through Regional Dive Locker East chain of command. Cannot include further use due to OPSEC concerns as briefed to Commanding Officer and District. Supplier is the only company that makes a product with this capability and purpose for the U.S Government, aligns with Standardized ROV Operations. GENERAL INFORMATION: The Strategic Robotic Systems is the only one of its kind to support the SRS Battery Charging System and Batteries to meet logistical and operational demands. .Delivery Requirements: 31 AUG 2024, Location: US Coast Guard Regional Dive Locker EAST (34269) Portsmouth, VA 23703 Responses This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, however all responsible sources who believe they can meet all of the requirements may submit a capability statement that demonstrates clear and convincing evidence of capability, addressing the points identified in paragraph (2) above. If you believe you can provide the items or services requested, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency, to the Purchasing Agent, Leilani Sandle at Leilani.d.sandle@uscg.gov referencing notice number 84-24-Q-34269-087 by 07/17/2024. A determination not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed. Information provided will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for the potential requirement and may lead to the development of a solicitation.
