Notice of Intent: The Coast Guard intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole-source procurement (under FAR authority 6.302) to Strategic Robotic Systems, San Diego CA. Background and Justification: Strategic Robotic Systems meets all specifications and requirements needed and is available to schedule. Regional Dive Lockers are required to maintain 02 Strategic Robotics Systems FUSION Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs). This purchase will procure a full set of batteries and charging system for the second UUV. This equipment has been briefed and identified as mission critical through Regional Dive Locker East chain of command. Cannot include further use due to OPSEC concerns as briefed to Commanding Officer and District. Supplier is the only company that makes a product with this capability and purpose for the U.S Government, aligns with Standardized ROV Operations. A determination not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
