1. The DOL-9W Coast Guard Office, intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to Polaris Government & Defense., 2100 HWY 55, Hamel, Minnesota 55340-9770 for to train and certify unit level maintainers to properly maintain these vehicles and ensure that they remain fully-mission capable.. This sole source requirement meets the condition on FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i) and FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i), only one responsible source has been identified as reasonably available to provide the service that will satisfy the USCG. Polaris Government & Defense is the only company that can meet USCG requirements. 2. Polaris Government & Defense shall provide 32 Hours of The training provided through Polaris Defense’s MCC consists of an intensive block of instruction on Polaris vehicles. Key focus areas are; diagnostics and repair, engine and driveline components, suspension, handling, and field expedient electrical repairs. Completion of this course provides the necessary information for a maintainer to properly diagnose and repair Polaris vehicles up to warranty level repairs. 3. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, however all responsible sources who believe they can meet all of the requirements may submit a capability statement that demonstrates clear and convincing evidence of capability, addressing the points identified in paragraph (2) above and provide an authorized distributor certificate. 4. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids, quotes, or proposals. This will be a firm fixed price contract. USCG does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. A determination by USCG not to compete this proposed purchase order based on this notice is solely within the discretion of USCG. 5. Any responses/proposals to this notice must be received no later than 08:00 A.M., October 29, 2021 Pacific Standard Time, via email to Jessica.p.adkisson@uscg.mil. Any firm responding to this notice should identify themselves as either small business, or other than small business. If no responses are received, a sole source contract will be pursued with Polaris Government & Defense.
