Brand-name parts are mandatory, though offers of “equal” products will be considered if they meet the specified salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics and are deemed acceptable by the USCG. All items must be individually packaged, marked, and bar-coded in accordance with strict MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129R requirements using ASTM-D5118 double-wall fiberboard boxes; third-party packaging is allowed if quoted at an additional cost.
