The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, material, transportation and supervision to conduct testing and inspection of the sprinkler, standpipe systems, fire hydrants, fire pump and backflow prevention devices located at US Coast Guard Academy, 15 Mohegan Avenue New London, CT. All work shall be performed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and all current applicable State and Federal Regulations, National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) Codes and USCGA Policies. For the purposes of this PWS, the NFPA current editions are used. Changes to NFPA codes will require contractor to follow the current edition for the life of this contract. Furthermore, the contractor shall conduct a complete and comprehensive inspection of USCGA sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, and associated piping, valves and supervisory devices within 15 days of contract award. A detailed report of existing conditions in each building will be submitted to the CGA Fire Marshal via hard copy and PDF on CD/DVD within 10 working days, after completion of this inspection. Report will include make, model and date of manufacture for sprinkler heads, valves and supervisory devices as well as any discrepancies found during inspections. This is a Base Year contract with Four (04) Option Years attached. Base Year Period of Performance is 07 April 2020 thru 06 April 2021. SITE VISIT: The USCG Academy recommend that any vendors interested in submitting their quote shall perform a site visit on the location of the systems.
