The U.S. Coast Guard has a one-time requirement for services on four MTU 20V1163TB93L diesel engines stored at a Rolls-Royce Solutions America facility in Brownstown, Michigan. The work includes transporting and disassembling the engines, salvaging usable spares and all four crankshafts, modifying two salvaged crankshafts to the approved/improved radius design, and cleaning, preserving, packaging, and marking salvaged components for long-term storage. It also includes preserving, sealing, packaging, and shipping two bare engine blocks for strategic storage, scrapping/disposal of two bare engine blocks, and inventorying, sorting, preserving, and disposing of parts in Government-owned conex sea containers, with deliverables shipped FOB Destination to Government-designated locations. Salvaged parts will support sustainment of the U.S. Coast Guard National Security Cutter Main Propulsion Diesel Engines, and the anticipated period of performance is December 2026 through February 2027. This Sources Sought Notice is for market research; interested parties must provide capability statements demonstrating ability to perform the entire requirement, including MTU 20V1163TB93L engine work, OEM technical data/tooling access, crankshaft modification capability, relevant experience, and quality/traceability processes.
