USCG Cutter Eagle New Dredging for Berthing at New London City Pier
The project involves new dredging immediately south of CGC Eagle’s berth at City Pier in New London, CT, to deepen the area to -17.0 ft MLLW plus a 2.0 ft over-dredging allowance and remove approximately 3,700 CY of dredge spoils to an upland disposal site; offshore disposal is not permitted. Work also includes removal of about 50 piles below the waterline, with any unremovable piles cut at -21.0 ft MLLW, while maintaining channel navigation at all times. Connecticut environmental restrictions permit dredging only between October 1 and March 1. The estimated procurement value is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, with a 20% bid guarantee and performance/payment bonds required. The performance period is estimated at 300 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, and the acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside under FAR Part 14 sealed bidding.
