FBO POST – PRE-SOLICITATION 70Z0G120QPFA00500 ISSUE DATE: 31 JANUARY 2020 The project scope includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary to remove existing LED marquee sign (3’X6’) with monument base and provide a new monument base in a new location with new digital marquee sign (4’X8’) at the US Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT. Work includes the removal and disposal of the existing brick faced, monument style concrete base and LED marquee sign (foreground). Backfill and grade area, provide 3” mulch base to match existing area, transplant shrubs and bushes (from new Marquee location) as directed by the COR. Provide concrete monument type base with brick façade to match surrounding buildings in the area. Refer to drawing for dimensions and location (behind railing). Intercept electrical conduits from existing sign and provide ground box at intercept point. Provide two (2) 1-1/4” conduits from ground box to new monument base. Provide four (4) #10 THHN conductors from ground box to new sign. Grade and seed area affected by excavation. Provide new digital sign (4’x8’) and mount on new monument base. Remove bushes, trees and plants obstructing view of new sign from the Main Gate. Connect electrical supply to new sign. Provide all connections, terminations, testing and training for a complete and functional digital sign. Grade and mulch area affected by construction work, transplant shrubs and bushes as directed by the COR. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 14 February 2020. Tentative date for receipt of bids is 17 March 2020 at 4:00PM. Period of Performance: Award is anticipated to be made in late March 2020. The overall period of performance is Notice to Proceed plus 18 weeks. The applicable North American Industry Classification systems (NAICS) code is 238990 All Other Specialty Trade Contractors, with a small business size standard of $16.5 Million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Performance and/or Payment bonds will be required. The acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 13. Pursuant to FAR Part 19.5 set aside for Small Business, this solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. Our office no longer issues solicitation or amendments in paper form.
