The United States Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit - Providence, has a construction requirement to Repair the Waterfront at USCG Sector Long Island Sound in New Haven, CT. This synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR Parts 14 and 19. This acquisition is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a Small Business Size Standard of $36.5 Million. The Product Service Code is Z2PZ, Repair or Alteration of Other Non-Building Facilities. The estimated cost range of this project is between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000. The period of performance is 280 days. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 4 March 2019. The date set for bid opening is 9 April 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Bids must be valid for a minimum of 60 days. Base Scope of Work Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and disposal required for: Repairs to timber wave screening; Repairs to deteriorated concrete pier foundations; Demolition of a floating dock and Installation of a new floating dock; Repairs to electrical distribution lines; and Recoating of existing floating dock steel guide piles. Optional Items may include: Repairs to scour under concrete bulkhead; Repairs to existing timber piers and piling; Demolition of floating docks; and Installation of new floating docks. The work will be completed at USCG Sector Long Island Sound, New Haven, CT (New Haven County).
