The Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit in Oakland California announces the pre-solicitation to dredge and dispose of sediments from the mooring at U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Station Corona del Mar, located in Lower Newport Bay, California. Dredge approximately 250 cubic yards (cy) of sediment from the USCG Station Corona del Mar boat basin by hydraulic or mechanical means to the indicated design depth of -10.0 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) plus 2 feet over depth allowance. The dredged sediment shall be permanently disposed of at the Government furnished LA-3 Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS). This notice is posted in accordance with FAR Part 5.203 and FAR Part 36.213-2. The project requires the Contractor to provide all management, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, materials, expertise, and supervision necessary to perform the work in accordance the specifications and drawings, which will be included with the solicitation package. This acquisition is proceeding as an UNRESTRICTED, Invitation for Bid (IFB). The IFB shall be prepared in accordance with Subpart 14.2. Specifics for the Project and Proposal Requirement will be included in the solicitation. The IFB for this procurement will be available for viewing and downloading on approximately July 6, 2020. The date for receipt of bids is 2:00 p.m., P.S.T., August 11, 2020 and it will be shown on the Solicitation, Offer and Award (Standard Form 1442). Bids must be submitted to Civil Engineering Unit Oakland, 1301 Clay Street 7th Floor, Suite 700N, Oakland, CA 94612- 5500. Bids submitted electronically will not be accepted. THE SOLICIATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLY BY INTERNET AT https://beta.sam.gov/. Amendments will be posted on the website for downloading. This will be the normal method of distributing amendments; therefore, it is the contractors' responsibility to check the website periodically for any amendments to the solicitation.
