TECHNICAL SERVICES FOR INSPECTION AND CORRECTION OF SHIPS SERVICE DIESEL GENERATOR HEAT EXCHANGER ON USCGC HAMILTON Background. CGC HAMILTON has been experiencing high temperatures when at higher loads on the Cat Ships Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) model 3512B. It has been determined that the heat exchanger is not reducing the temperature as it should. Service by Cat technician is recommended. Objective. The objective of this requirement is to clean and repair the heat exchanger. Lowering th e high temps seen while SSDG is under load. Tasks. PERFORM SERVICE ON HEAT EXCHANGER (M-C-101O) PERFORM LOAD BANK TEST (540 9151) TECHNICIANS TO ASSIST IN RUNNING CABLES FROM THE LOAD BANK TO THE BOAT SIDE CONNECTIONS. 1 DAY FOR TESTING – ALONG WITH CLEAN UP AND TEAR DOWN OF ALL TESTING EQUIPMENT AND HAULING BACK RENTAL FEES FOR LOAD BANK TESTING UINT – ALONG WITH CABLES/PIGTAILS/ADAPTERS/CONNECTIONS Delivery. Contractor shall provide a final report within 3 days of contract period of performance. Government furnished property. Parts provided by Blanchard Cat and will be at location.
