This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotations incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-84 dated Nov 1, 2015. All responsible sources may submit proposals that will be considered by the agency. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. Past performance will be considered in the selection of the awarded vendor. General: The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) requires the services of a technical representative to assist with installation of a Graviner MK7 Oil Mist Detector system on four Wartsila Main Diesel Engines on U.S. Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) HEALY (WAGB-20). 1. The contractor shall provide the services of a qualified technical representative who is familiar with the Graviner MK7 Oil Mist Detector and has experience installing this system on large marine diesel engines. 2. The technical representative shall: a. Be present to oversee the i. Installation ii. Start-up iii. Commissioning iv. Crew Training b. Provide manufacturer’s equipment information, and all specialty tools required for installation and servicing. c. Assist with and ensure compliance with industry procedures and standards during installation, calibration, start-up, and commissioning. 3. The period of performance for work is 19 April 2021 – 23 April 2021 4.
