This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Coast Guard, COCO, Director of Operational Logistics (DOL-9), Base Procurement and Contracting (DOL-95), will acquire the services outlined in the solicitation utilizing procedures in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. This solicitation is issued as a Unrestricted Full and Open. The NAICS code is 713940 and the size standard is $8 million. The U. S. Coast Guard District Eight is procuring fitness center services for Coast Guard personnel working within a two mile radius in the downtown area of New Orleans, LA. The objective of this effort is to acquire athletic memberships to assist the Coast Guard in meeting physical training and fitness requirements by providing needed facilities for Coast Guard personnel that are not otherwise available and are similar to Government facilities that are normally available throughout the Coast Guard.
