This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5) to determine the capabilities of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. This is issued by the Shore Infrastructure Logistics Command West, Alameda, California to identify sources capable of COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF SOLID WASTE TO INLCUDE RECYCLE at USCG District Nine (9) Bases and District (9) Housing Facilities located in the GREAT LAKES REGIONS to include the States of Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio; Pennsylvania and New York. This will be a Firm Fixed Contract with Base plus four (4) option years, if exercised by the Government, beginning 01 October 2019. A solicitation will be issued shortly and will be synopsized on FedBizOps Electronic Posting System at www.fbo.gov. It is the potential offerors responsibility to monitor this avenue for release of any solicitation or synopsis. This notice is for MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY and does not constitute a Request for Quote or Proposal; and it is not considered to be a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited; no basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. At this time no solicitation exists; therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. The Government reserves the right to consider any arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement. The applicable NAICS Code is 562111 (Solid Waste Collection). The related small business size standard is $38.5 million. COMPETITION AND SET-ASIDE DECISIONS WILL BE MADE BASED ON THE RESULTS OF THIS MARKET RESEARCH AND THE FEEDBACK FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT. Offerors shall furnish this information NO MORE THAN THREE (3) contracts, on-going or completed within the last THREE (3) years, for like or similar services, held with the U.S. Coast Guard, other Government Agencies or Private Industry.
