The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) intends on awarding a Requirements type contract with firm-fixed-price (FFP) delivery orders for five (5), one (1) year ordering periods for the overhaul of Motoren-un Turbinen-Union (MTU) 8V396 TE94 series main diesel engine, in support of USCG 87’ Patrol Boats (WPBs). The need for this overhaul contract is based on the age of these engines and the number of operating hours accumulated through their life span. Contractors having a MTU distributor agreement will provide MTU certified technicians using manufacturer proprietary data to perform the diesel engine overhauls.
