Overhaul and Manufacture of Meridian Standard 180 Degree Gyrocompass (NSN: 6605-01-654-8848, P/N: B933335) used on the Coast Guard’s 154’ WPC 70Z08022S12001B00 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE, pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), FAR Part 13.501, and HSAM 3006.302-1. This is not a pre-solicitation notice or solicitation for proposals/quotations. For information regarding this acquisition, contact the Contracting official listed herein. ALL INQUIRES SHALL BE IN WRITING. REQUIREMENT: The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center has a requirement to (1) overhaul the Teledyne Instruments, Inc. Meridian Standard 180 Degree Gyrocompass (NSN: 6605-01-654-8848, P/N: B933335) using Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and (2) purchase new Teledyne Meridian Standard 180 Deg. Gyrocompasses. These gyrocompasses are utilized on board the 154’ Sentinel class Patrol Boat, Fast Response Cutter (FRC). Repairs shall be accomplished in accordance with Statement of Work (SOW) entitled, “R-426-2045 U.S. COAST GUARD WPC-154 FAST RESPONSE CUTTER TELEDYNE INSTRUMENTS, INC. MERIDIAN STANDARD 180 DEG GYROCOMPASS REPAIR.” A DRAFT copy of the SOW is attached with this announcement as Attachment I. This requirement must be completed utilizing only genuine parts from the OEM. The Contractor shall be required to legally possess all Teledyne Instruments technical publications and to have them available at the Contractor’s facility. The Coast Guard does not own the rights to the technical data necessary to evaluate other parts. This sources sought notice is being issued to obtain information on vendors capable of repairing the Standard 180 Deg Gyrocompass and supplying new units. All costs including packaging, marking and bar-coding in accordance with the SOW and shall be incorporated in the cost of each part. Standard manufacturer warranty is required. The anticipated NAICS Code is 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing. Period of Performance: It is anticipated that one firm-fixed-price, requirements contract with five (5), one (1) year ordering periods will be awarded for this requirement. The following information / documentation must be included in your response: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a prime contractor, to include DUNS number, business size and, if applicable, your small business status; (b) subcontracting possibilities for this requirement; (c) proof you can provide the brand name parts in accordance with the OEM standards, processes, and data rights; (d) evidence of experience in supplying and repairing the required items to include contract numbers, project titles and dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable.
