STANDARD FORM 30 Solicitation Amendment dated 01/19/2021 attached. THIS IS A TWO PHASE SOLICITATION - - PRICES WILL NOT BE REQUIRED WITH YOUR INITIAL PROPOSAL IN PHASE I (The 28 January 2021 due date is for Phase I Proposals) The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center intends on awarding up to two Firm-Fixed Price IDIQ type contracts to conduct the overhaul of Motoren-un Turbinen-Union (MTU) 20V4000M93L series main diesel engines (MDE). This is in support of 154’ Sentinel class Patrol Boats, also referred to as Fast Response Cutters (FRC). Each engine will be taken out of service and shipped to a contractor facility where the engine is inspected and overhauled in strict accordance with MTU - OEM standards. The overhauled engine is shipped back, FOB Destination, to the USCG and installed on a 154’ FRC as part of a schedule maintenance project. This procurement also includes technical support and wear analysis efforts. The wear analysis will determine the amount of an engine's wear and help define actual load conditions of the engines during operation. Results from the wear analysis will be used to determine future preventative and routine maintenance schedules for the MDEs.
