This Justification for an Exception to Fair Opportunity Brand Name is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 16.505(a)(4)(i) and is for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) requirement for Oracle software licenses required for continued maintenance support of Oracle enterprise software. These renewals provide the USCG continued access to software releases, upgrades, updates, security patches, and technical support delivered in accordance with Oracle’s Technical Services Support Policy and Terms. The Oracle license renewals are needed to allow the USCG to sustain operations and to provide maintenance support on existing systems, desktops, and servers on unclassified and classified networks enterprise wide; to continue the USCG mission support.
