The intent of this contract is to achieve nuisance vegetation control with minimal impact to the environment. These services shall be provided in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations by a Massachusetts licensed professional contractor. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, material, transportation, and equipment to complete the work described within the Scope Of Work (SOW) which is attached. The work to be performed under this contract consists of the Contractor evaluating airfield paved surfaces shown in Attachment (1) and identified by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) as requiring nuisance vegetation control and elimination. This will require the application of pre-emergence herbicide in the spring to prevent nuisance vegetation within cracks and crevices throughout approximately 200 acres of airfield pavement. Application shall only be applied to areas as directed by the COR. The Contractor may be called back in early or mid-summer to control and eliminate growth in areas where pre-emergence herbicide was not applied or was ineffective. The COR and BCC Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) staff will determine the need for this follow-up post-emergence retreatment. All work will be billed and paid based on contracted pricing as a unit price per labor hour for services and expended materials.
