The United States Coast Guard (USCG) hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Safe Boats International (UEID: NG5DSM9C8EE7 / SMALL BUSINESS). Requirement: The USCG Small Boat Product Line is purchaing Membranes, Fuel tanks, and Collar Kits for the OTH small boatt platform See attached Justification (JOTFOC) and requirement details. The total estimated value is less than $250,000.00 This sole source brand name contracting action is in accordance with Federal Aquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(2)(b) and 6.303-2 modified to reflect procedures in 13.5 (a)(ii). Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objectives. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive solicitation for future requirements of this type. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals.
