This work is to be performed within the continental United States, with a USCG provided transit distance no greater than 350 river (statute) miles from boat’s homeport of 100 Lighthouse Avenue, Monterey CA 93940, as determined by the government,: 1. An MLB design limits its use to short transits. The asset and unit are not crewed for continuous steaming and is normally limited to daylight transits. Due to crewing and asset employment standards, 4 days transit is the limit of crew endurance under normal operating conditions. 8 hours of transit per day is the planning factor due to crew fatigue. MLB have a maximum speed of 20 knots, however, environmental factors frequently limit average speed to less than maximum. 2.
