This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE and no award is to follow. Pursuant to FAR part 10 (Market Research), the United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, Baltimore, MD is seeking to identify sources capable of remanufacturing the MTU 6V92 model engines, the main propulsion engines for the 47’ Motor Lifeboat (47MLB) Coast Guard series small boats, to like-new condition. Each MTU/Detroit Diesel 6V92 engine model engines inducted for remanufacturing shall be disassembled, inspected, remanufactured, tested, and preserved, packaged and marked in accordance with Coast Guard Specification R-233-0307 (6V92 engine) by certified MTU technicians using only authorized MTU America (OEM) genuine OEM replacement parts. Other vendors are invited to demonstrate their ability to remanufacture these engines in accordance with the attached 6V92 Remanufacture Specification. The anticipated NAICS Code is 333618 – Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing and the size standard is 1,500 employees. Interested parties should register in the System for Award Management (SAM) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. SAM can be obtained by accessing the internet at www.beta.sam.gov or by calling 1-866-606-8220. The requirement is for the remanufacture of MTU/Detroit Diesel 6V92 engines. Companies having capabilities to provide this are invited to submit complete information discussing their capabilities no later than the close date of this notice (06/01/2021). The information submitted must include: 1. Name of Company, Address and DUNS Number 2. Point of Contact and Phone Number 3. Business Size applicable to the NAICS Code (If Small Business, must identify concern) 4.
